Yesterday I attended the opening preview of the second edition of United Art Fair 2013, India’s modern and contemporary art fair.
It displays an array of mindboggling diversity.
There are art objects in every shape, size, medium and form that you can dream of. Besides paintings, sculptures and photography, the display includes graphic art, folk and tribal art, fashion, textiles, furniture, ceramics and architecture in the fair.
It is curated by gallerist and curator Peter Nagy, art historian and curator Alka Pande, photographer Ram Rehman, Heidi Fichtner, Meera Madeline Menezes and Mayank Mansingh Kaul and is a good place to discover young artists and rediscover some forgotten ones that will stir your senses once again.
If you are interested in Art, Photography, Sculptures and Graphics then the United Art Fair is the place for you.
The works are still swirling around in my head. I particularly liked the works of Ravi Gossain, Udaya Vir Singh, Tauseef Khan, Bikkash Poddar and Bandeep Singh.
